Our first annual Fall Tavern Luncheon and Collectible sale

Our trustees are hosting a "Tavern Luncheon" and Collectibles sale on Saturday November 7, 2009. Tickets for the luncheon will be $10.00 our menu is as follows:

The Collectible sale will feature a coverlet dated 1812, silver, Chinese Export porcelain, and many other items...some pictured above..

The collectible sale will start at 11:00 AM and run until 2:00 PM

October 17, 2009 concert to feature Aoife Clancy..

On October 17, 2009 at 7:30PM Aoife Clancy will be the featured performer at The Captain Charles Leonard House 663 Main Street, Agawam, Ma.

"Aoife Clancy (pronounced “Eefa”) brings a refreshing new voice to folk music, one that ranges from traditional Irish songs to ballads and contemporary folk. Aoife comes from the small town of Carrick-on-Suir, in Co Tipperary, Ireland, where her musical career began at an early age. Her father Bobby Clancy of the legendary Clancy Brothers, placed a guitar in her hands at age ten, and by age fourteen was playing with her father in nearby pubs.

For the past four years Aoife has toured extensively doing no less than two hundred dates a year throughout the United States and Europe. She has been a featured soloist with orchestras such as the Boston Pops and Cincinnati Pops and ,while performing with Cherish the Ladies, collaborated with the Boston Pops on their Grammy nominated Celtic album.

First concert next Saturday Sept `19, 2009 at 7:30PM

Each month usually on the third Saturday..Meg and Dan Sullivan, caretakers of The Captain Charles Leonard House, act as hosts for delightful live music concerts. This month will feature a trio of performers.. "Stanley and Grimm" Nikki Maranchie- Engstrom and Sean Brennan and Janine Randall.. They will present a night of fiddle and piano tunes and songs sung by Sean..

Next Month will feature Aoife Clancy..an extraordinary Irish singer..

Working in the garden

Today my grand daughter Morgan helped me clean up the shade garden here at The Leonard House.. She enjoys skipping about on the new brick side-walks and helping rake the garden areas..
